Standing Together / Una Comunidad Unida Community Potluck
Standing Together / Una Comunidad Unida Community Potluck
Monday, January 19th, 5:30 to 8:30 PM
West Marin Community Services Abriendo Caminos program invite the community for a potluck to show solidarity for everyone in our community. West Marin Community Services and the Standing Together, Una Comunidad Unida Committee extends a cordial invitation to celebrate this beautiful community event.
The Standing Together event will be held in different villages of West Marin. The participating villages are: Point Reyes – Olema – Inverness, Bolinas – Stinson Beach – Dogtown, San Geronimo Valley-Lagunitas- Woodacre, Tomales – Marshall – Nicasio.
Purpose: This event is gathered to show that when we stand together, no one stands alone. This event celebrates our shared humanity and our ongoing commitment to inclusivity, compassion, and unity — today and every day.
Motivation / Inspiration: In acknowledgement of the historical and ongoing harm to people on this land beginning with Indigenous peoples, those enslaved and brought forcibly from other lands, immigrants that continue to face persecution and deportation, and the discrimination and threat against the LGBTQ+ community, we stand in solidarity to help heal these wounds and support every member of our community.

Maria Muldaur & Her Jazzabelle Quintet ~ Holiday Swing Show
Important: the newsletter has the date wrong. This event is on the Saturday, December 13th.
Over the years, as an antidote to all the sappy and sentimental Christmas tunes we are all inundated with every holiday season, Maria Muldaur has collected some wonderfully hip, swinging, humorous and irreverent Christmas songs by her favorite Jazz and Blues artists. She and her "A Team" of some of the Bay Area's finest jazz players will be presenting her special "Christmas at the Oasis" show, for a fun evening of what Maria calls "Christmas tunes for Hipsters." There will be no corny, overdone, pedestrian Christmas tunes here, only her special collection of rare gems! Don't miss this Holiday event!
Cheer!
Celebrate our 151st holiday season serving the community—the Tomales Town Hall welcomes the community for a potluck event. Come see your neighbors as we thank you for your support. Free admission.
